Layered Significance
The very notion of layers in the context of art is essentially sensorial in nature — signifying thickness, coarseness, lightness, opacity, translucency, transparency, basic to complex overlapping and so on.
The nature of the seen, unseen, revealed, hidden, above, underneath, less or more — are all defined by the Creator.
As Creators, we explore possibilities with surfaces, mediums and tools. Alongside the liberties of tonal value, dimensionality, emotional projection, perception of color and spatial dialogue, layering offers immense possibilities for moving experiences.
The essence of layering lies not in the number of layers but in the nature of each of them: color, dimension, thickness and the texture. It can create a world of difference.
Layers bring with them the emancipations of symbolism, representation as well as mysterious prognosis. Perception as a process is offered more quantitative fodder thereby elevating multiple aspects such as emphasis on performance of the material, pigmental expansion, textural enhancement and immaculate finesse.
The beauty of layering finds its impact in the sincere threads of conceptual depth, pigmental balance and rooted sensibilities.
